If you played the game competitively(real competitive with a team, not matchmaking), and played this map a significant amount, you would not say this. I have never met anyone that played Mirage_ce a lot that prefers Valve’s version. Valve’s version is shit.
While I do believe CS:GO needs improvement in some area’s, I never intended to discuss these topics in such a unprofessional manner. What you see in the YouTube video was merely me entertaining my streamers and trying to allude to the fact that people make more rash decisions in CS:GO. I was taking pain killers for my wisdom teeth and felt a little more expressive than usual. I would be glad to make actual videos outling some things I think could be changed, but please disregard any of what I said in this video, and try to maybe enjoy the 3 frags I get while rushing mindlessly :D.
t’s not even that though, it’s just that it’s a straight up port from Source, aka “Terrible visibility and clutter everywhere: The Game”. The Inferno from 1.6 was MUCH more nice to play on as either side, just because everything was so visible and clean.
So from 1.6 to GO we have:
Straight up cancer Truck that has no bullet pen, fucks up movement, and makes pit an even easier place to sit.
Graveyard, the Graveyard of visibility. Unless I have my contrast on something dumb i’m not seeing the person in this stupid position until he’s killed me. Not to mention that it gives more random angles for the CT’s to sit and shoot T’s that have to walk through tiny hallways.
Bedroom, once again a visibility issue. And makes already vulnerable T’s going into Apt’s even more open. From my count, when the T hits the top of that staircase, they have to check a whole THREE SPOTS AT ONCE. Just no.
Propspam EVERYWHERE. Even an amateur level designer I know that clutter is terrible for competitive games. Hell, even Valve knows it.
The map as a whole is just a mess of angles corrupted from the 1.6 version. I really hope that Valve redoes this map with the same level of detail as Mirage, but with either 1. less prop based cover or 2. a rework of how props are handled in CS:GO.
